SILICONE FLUID is dimethylpolysiloxanes, whose structure, amazing combination of chemical and physical properties, are dependent on the presence of the unique silicone-oxygen silicone skeleton. This semi-inorganic fluid chemically related to glass, quartz and the mineral silicates, to posses such of the stability and good dielectric properties of this group.

Available in the form of Crystal-clear liquid of Viscosities from less than one to more than one million centistokes, except for the very low, viscosity graders SILICONE FLUID is serviceable from-40′ to 200°C. Its service life at high temperature can be considerably increases by employment in closed system out of contact with air or oxygen. It is characterize by no toxicity and non-irritating, oxidation resistance, water-repellency high resistance to permanent break-down due to shear; uniform retention of dielectric properties over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies; and long service-life where conventional organic liquids fail rapidly.

As damping fluids for damping overload relays, nautical and aeronautical instruments speedometers, ammeters, gauges, portable weighing scales, and permanently scaled torsional vibration dampers for the crankshafts of diesel-locomotive engines.

As hydraulic fluids in shock absorbers instruments and pumps, recoil brake cylinders, gauges and other precision tools and instruments operated by fluid pressure.

As most efficient and reliable liquid for dielectrics and coolants in transformers, magnetrons, capacitors and many other electrical and electronic applications (Use electrical grade only.)

As excellent lubricant for rubber and plastic surfaces, including gears, bearings, bushings, motion picture film and photograph records.

As moisture repellent di-electrical and lubricant for clocks, timers, television tuners and other electronic devices.

As ingredients for cosmetics like hand creams, skin Protestants, sun tan lotions, hair grooming preparations and dermatological preparations. (Use Dimethicune grade only)

Relays, capacitors, insulators, vacuum tubes, and fluorescent lighting tubes are made durably water-repellent and given better dielectric properties under humid conditions.

SILICONE FLUIDS are soluble in hydrocarbon solvents, in chlorinated solvents, and in low molecular weight aromatic solvents, Limited solubility in acetone, alcohols or glycols and solubility varies with Viscosity.
